Asian chipmakers gain as Nvidia's $3 trillion value amid the hoopla around AI

Tokyo ElectronLtd.( TYO8035), the most valued Japanese chipmaker, increased4.3, while AvantestCorp.( TYO6857), a manufacturer of semiconductor testing outfit, climbed 5.

Other Japanese chipmakers saw increases of 3 to 5, including Renesas Electronics Corp( TYO6723) and Disco Corp( TYO6146).
